Il 28 ottobre 2010 Last Minute Market – nell’ambito del progetto “Un anno contro lo spreco”- ha organizzato una conferenza dal titolo Transforming Food Waste into a Resource presso il Parlamento Europeo a Bruxelles. La conferenza, sponsorizzata e patrocinata dalla Commissione Agricoltura e Sviluppo Rurale del Parlamento Europeo, ha visto la partecipazione di accademici, parlamentari europei, membri della società civile e di organizzazioni non governative.

Al termine della conferenza il Prof Andrea Segrè e la Dr Silvia Gaiani hanno presentato la Dichiarazione Congiunta contro lo Spreco Alimentare, il cui scopo è quello di sensibilizzare e attivare le istituzioni europee affinchè la lotta allo spreco alimentare diventi una priorità nell’agenda della Commissione e lo spreco alimentare venga ridotto del 50% entro il 2025. Scarica la dichiarazione.

On October 28, 2010 Last Minute Market organized a conference entitled Transforming Food Waste into a Resource at the European Parliament in Brussels. The conference, sponsored and supported by the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development of the European Parliament, saw the participation of academics, MEPs, members of civil society and nongovernmental organizations.

At the end of the conference Prof. Andrea Segrè and Dr. Silvia Gaiani presented the Joint Declaration against Food Waste supported by different organizations worldwide.

The Declaration aims to raise awareness and sensitize the European institutions so that the fight against food waste becomes a priority on the agenda of the European Commission and food  waste is reduced of 50% by 2025. Download
